Purchasing a home is usually a family decision, thus all the decision-makers in a family need to be considered and contacted by real estate agents. Chime supports easy management of leads' family member info. Follow this guide to learn how to create and manage a lead's family members.

Create Family Members For A Lead
To create family members for a lead, move your cursor to the "more" button on the top left of a lead's profile page, and click "Edit Details" in the menu that appears.
In the window that pops up, click the "New Family Member" button on the left.
Enter the family member's information in the fields that appear on the right side. You may want to input e.g. husband, son, in the Relationship field to note the relationship of this family member to the lead.
Auto Emails in the Smart Plans, Auto Property Alerts, and Market Reports will also be sent to the family members of a lead. If you want the family member to not receive these kinds of automated emails set up for the lead, check the corresponding option in the Family Member Unsubscribe options.
Click "Save" when you finish. Shortly after, you will see the family member's information on the left side of the lead's profile page.
Contacting a Lead's Family Member
To contact a lead's family member via call, email or text message, click the down arrow on the right of the Call, Email or Text button on the top left of the lead's profile page. The emails or phone numbers of the family members will be shown in the menu that appears. Click the one you want to contact the family member with.
- Please note that currently, any communication made to a family member on a lead will show up on the lead profile as if you are contacting the primary lead. Keep that in mind if you plan on merging leads. You can always reference the email address and/or phone number and who it belongs to in order to distinguish who the communication was with, but it will display as if it was always to the primary lead. If that will not work for your established workflow, an alternative option of connecting two leads could be to copy the URL for one lead, add it as a note in another lead, and pin that note to the top. Repeat the other way around. By doing this, you have connected the two leads, who are completely separate, but you do have a pinned note pointing out their relationship.
- Currently, any mass email sent to leads will only send to the primary lead, not the family members of that lead.
