Introduction
Chime has an exciting new set of features available on our "New" CMS Tool that is ready to be deployed. In order to provide the New CMS Tool to all Chime users, this process will have to be accomplished in waves. This transition might affect your CMS Tool functionality temporarily. Please review the questions and answers below.
Questions & Answers
Q: How do I tell if my CMS has already changed from the Original CMS to the New CMS?
A: Functionality will have changed quite a but on the Page Editor, but the easiest way to tell is to look at the CMS Tool dashboard when you click on the icon and note the difference between the "Quick Actions" at the bottom.

New CMS:

Q: When will my account transition to the New CMS Tool?
A: Because of the workload required to process all users to the New CMS Tool, this will be a manual process that will take some time to accomplish. Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with an exact date for the transition to take place on your account, though this process will take months to complete.
---
Q: If my team has multiple websites--meaning a team site and agent subdomain sites--will they be transitioned at the same time?
A: No, the sites will be transitioned independent of one another. In other words, if there is one site on a team with "customization," that site will be delayed in transitioning until the migration rounds that come later. Eventually, all sites will be on the New CMS, but it is possible that some sites on a team might be on the Original/New at the same time.
---
Q: Will my website be affected by this transition to the New CMS Tool?
A: No, your website will be live and active as it currently is during the entire transition of your site. However, your CMS Tool, the website editor, will not be usable while your website is being migrated to the New CMS Tool. Many users will not even notice the CMS Tool being unavailable as it can be a quick process for their sites.
---
Q: How long will the transition to the New CMS Tool take once it is time for my account to be moved?
A: When it is time for your account to be moved to the New CMS Tool, the total transition time will vary by account based on the number of website customizations that have been applied. Please note that "website customizations" includes custom pages that have been built on your site. On average, the transition should be done within a 12 hour period during evening/night hours U.S. time. For those sites with "customized content," the transition can take up to 48 hours during which the site will remain live, but the CMS Tool will be inaccessible as previously mentioned.
---
Q: Can I request for my account to be transitioned to the New CMS Tool sooner than later, or on a specific date?
A: Unfortunately, this is not possible as we will have to process the transition in batches that will be impossible to schedule with 100% accuracy. As noted before, this transition will not affect live Chime websites and will only keep the CMS Tool (including landing pages) from being accessible temporarily.
---
Q: Can I opt out of having my CMS Tool changed to the new one that will be released?
A: No, this is not an optional transition as all accounts must be moved over in order for Chime to effectively manage server space and maintain only one version of the CMS Tool with updates and feature improvements.
