Chime websites are currently only built in the English language. However, there are many tools that can be used to produce literal (not localized) translations of website content. One of those can be configured for your Chime-built website but it is a manual process.
The provider currently used on Chime websites for this purpose is https://gtranslate.io/
Adding a Translation Widget
If you would like to add a translation widget to your website, please send a request to our Support Team (firstname.lastname@example.org) and request that it be added to your website. There is currently no setting in the CMS that can be used to enable this on your end.
Currently, the only languages available by default with the translation widget are those listed below. If you request that the widget to be added to your website, all of the following languages will be enabled on your Chime-built website
If you would like to choose only certain languages from the above list to be enabled on your Chime-built site, please provide that detail in your request submitted to the Chime Support Team (email@example.com).
These are all of the other languages that are currently supported. If you would like any of these languages to also be enabled on your site, please specify the additional languages in your request:
If you need a language that is not currently supported, please submit the request to determine if implementation is possible.
The appearance and location of this widget cannot currently be customized. When added to your Chime-built website it will appear to the left of the register/sign-in options:
